Video Editor and Social Media Manager

Rise Up Pathfinder is looking for a skilled and innovative Video Editor and Social Media Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves editing videos created by our Chief Wayfinder and scheduling them for distribution across our social media channels using Metricool. You will also be responsible for writing compelling text hooks, captions, and selecting appropriate hashtags to maximize engagement and reach.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and enhance videos created by the Chief Wayfinder for social media distribution.
  • Write engaging text hooks, captions, and select relevant hashtags for each post.
  • Schedule and manage the distribution of content across multiple social media platforms using Metricool.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to optimize content strategy.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement social media campaigns.

Requirements

  • Must be U.S. based, be available during EST hours, and have a response time of 2 hours or less.
  • Proven experience in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
  • Experience with social media management tools like Metricool.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices for engagement.
  • Excellent writing skills for crafting compelling captions and text hooks.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and improve content performance.
